Growing, Working, Sharing…TOGETHER

GROWING:  The Christian life is a journey where we are continually maturing. We should always be learning more about the God we serve and His word. The Christian I am today should look different than the one I was five years ago.

WORKING:  The Christian life is an active one. Our faith demands that there is work to do. God has given each of us unique talents that should be used to serve Him. Belief is only the beginning. Our faith should encourage action.

SHARING:  Jesus asked his disciples to go and make more disciples. We have the same task today. The good news of Jesus is the most important story we can share with those we encounter in daily life.

TOGETHER:  God did not intend for us to go through this life alone. He gave us the church so we can do life together. We should encourage each other and be a source of love for those around us, whether they are lifelong friends or people we meet for the first time.

Instead, speaking (SHARING) the truth in love, we will GROW to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held TOGETHER by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its WORK.  — Ephesians 4:15-16

This is why at the Eugene Church of Christ, we are
GROWING, WORKING, SHARING…TOGETHER.

We believe in following the pattern set by the Apostles in the first-century church.  So you will find us gathering together on the first day of the week (Sunday) to partake of the Lord’s Supper, worship in song, pray, hear the Word of God, fellowship together, and give as we are prospered.  (Acts 20:7; Ephesians 5:19; 1 Corinthians 16:2).   We have many other opportunities to get together for Bible Study, Fellowship, Service projects and fun events as together we use our various gifts to be the church.

Our  goal in all we do is to worship God in Spirit and Truth, and to honor the Word of God (the Bible) as our only rule for faith and practice.      Our eldership is open to studying and discussing what the Bible says on any and all issues with anyone with open hearts.  We do not claim to be perfect, but have confidence in the Bible as God’s inspired word and strive to let it be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.

We invite you to come and visit us.  You will find our congregation a loving, caring place where your questions are welcome and your prayer requests are honored.  We are a nurturing family, dedicated to growing in our knowledge of God and our walk with Jesus.
