Update October 2016
We packed 150 Shoe boxes!!!

We’ll be starting up again in the Summer of 2017 by collecting specific items for Girls & Boys, ages 10-14. Here are a few of the “bigger” items, so keep them in mind when you’re out shopping or see any sales. Just drop them off at church any time and we’ll store them until the October 2017 event.

75 Soccer Balls (deflated) and small pumps to fit into the shoe boxes.
75 Boys & 75 Girls plain-colored T-shirts (no writing or symbols), size 10-14 or L.

What is Operation Christmas Child ?
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoe boxes to over 124 million children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises all over the world. Through these boxes, they introduce these children to Jesus and help them feel blessed and cared for.

How will our church be involved?
We’ll be posting the specific list of items to be included in the shoe boxes during the summer (on this page and on our  Facebook Page) and collecting these items July-October and then assembling the boxes in October, 2017.

We’d love to have you participate in this special program.  You can get involved in three ways:  SHOP, DONATE, PACK

SHOP:
Buy enough for a box or buy a bunch of one item. (the complete list will be posted by July)

DONATE:
Don’t want to shop? Donate and we’ll shop for you.
(Write your check to Eugene Church of Christ with Operation Christmas Child in the memo line.)

PACK:
Sunday, October {Date to be determined}, 11:30-12:30 at the Eugene Church of Christ at 2424 Norkenzie Rd.

Join us for a sandwich potluck and help assemble the boxes.
