He Is Risen
This Easter Sunday we look at the most important event of the gospel story, the resurrection of Jesus. Because he overcame death, we can look forward to rising with him. When the tomb was found empty, everything changed. Get caught in the wonder of that great story again.

    Calming the Storm
In Matthew 8 the disciples were on a boat on the Sea of Galilee with Jesus. A strong storm came up quickly. The only calm to be found on the boat was Jesus who was sleeping peacefully. When the disciples went to Him for help, He calmed the storm itself. There will be storms in our lives. Do we look to the Prince of Peace to calm them?

    Do You See?
At a dinner gathering in Luke 7, a woman described as "a sinner" washes the feet of Jesus. Even though everyone must notice, He asks the question, "Do you see this woman?" I wonder if they see anything else. What grabs your attention in life? What are you looking for?

    Go Tell John
We jump back into our series on the Life of Jesus this week with the lesson from Luke 7. John the Baptist is in prison and wrestling with doubt, so he sends his disciples to find reassurance from Jesus. God understands that we have doubts, and he wants us to find that same kind of reassurance.

    The Announcement
When we think about Jesus coming to Earth, we don't usually spend a lot of time thinking about the huge change it was in the lives of two people: Mary and Joseph. As we look at their individual encounters with angels, we will consider the messages they hear and their reaction. As a result, we will learn a little more about what kind of people God chose to provide a home and family for His son on Earth.

"Do not judge." It might be the part of a verse in the Bible that is most quoted by those who do not know much about the rest of the book. Like in any book, context is very important. The story does not end in the first half of Matthew 7:1. This lesson explores what this command is and what it is not.

    Stuff
As Black Friday approaches, it's hard to ignore our society's addiction to stuff. So many of us want bigger houses, bigger cars, more money and the latest technology. Those things can be great, but they are all temporary and they take our attention off what is really important. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6 that we should instead focus our energy on God, who is everlasting.
